Our ‘In Office Laser Assisted Whitening’ and ‘Home Whitening’ services can transform your smile, adding a sparkle and leaving you with greater confidence.
Before treatment can commence, you will first need an appointment with our dentist, who will assess whether your teeth are dentally suitable for the teeth whitening treatment.
The main advantages of in-office whitening include dental practitioner control on the whitening process, prevention of softtissue exposure or material ingestion, reduced treatment time and immediate results that enhance patient’s satisfaction with dental treatment. The in-office procedures are accelerated by the application of light/heat to activate the bleaching agent by using light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and lasers.
Once our dentist has confirmed you are dentally fit for home whitening, they will take impressions of your teeth to create trays that are bespoke to you. When the custom-made trays are ready, a second appointment can be made in which your dentist will ensure they fit correctly, and advise you how to use them with the whitening gels to carry out the treatment from the comfort of your own home.
Results are usually achieved within seven to ten days, but the exact duration of your treatment will depend on the degree of lightening required. Your dentist will discuss your desired shade with you, and advise how long your treatment will take to achieve this result.
